QR Paste Support

How to use this fully offline QR code generator.

Basics

1. Type text or tap Paste.
2. From another app, select text and share it to QR Paste.
3. The text is split every 500 characters by default and shown as QR codes.
4. Change the split size between 10 and 2000 if needed.
5. If there are several codes, scan them in order.

A QR code cannot be generated

QR codes have a size limit. If you see “too large”, lower the split size. Japanese text uses more bytes than English.

Paste does not work

Allow the system paste confirmation if it appears. If it does not, touch and hold the text field and use the system Paste command.

QR Paste does not appear in the share menu

Open More or Edit in the share menu and enable QR Paste. If the source app cannot share text, copy the text and use Paste inside the app.

Saved settings

Split size and Max brightness are saved on the device and restored on the next launch. Text and generated QR codes are not saved.

Max brightness

When Max brightness is on, the screen brightness is raised while the app is visible so QR codes are easier to scan. Turning it off or leaving the app restores the previous brightness.

Internet

Not required. Every feature works in Airplane Mode. The app does not send your text anywhere.

Scanning QR codes

This app only generates QR codes. It has no camera scanner. Use another device or a QR reader.

Personal data and input text are not collected. See the privacy policy.
